After years of dedication to their studies — full of reading assignments, lab reports, papers and long study sessions — Winter Commencement on Dec. 11 was an opportunity for graduating Tar Heels to relish in their achievements and celebrate all the work it took to earn a degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Chancellor Kevin M. Guskiewicz presided over the ceremony, which celebrated the graduation of 629 undergraduates and 791 graduate and professional students.
With advice and assurance from University leaders and keynote speaker Daniel Wallace, the graduates officially joined a family of more than 356,000 fellow UNC-Chapel Hill alumni.
