Providing a helping hand
Founded by a Tar Heel in 2015, the Helping Hand Project uses 3D printing to make free prosthetic devices for children and adolescents born without fingers. Student designers and builders create and assemble the prosthetic hands for specific children.
Encouraging mental health and helping pets
Student organization Carolina Helping Paws improves the lives of local shelter animals and promotes mental health on campus.

The Carolina Case Challenge gives student teams eight hours to find the best solution to a pressing business problem – and learn lessons that last a lifetime.
