Kevin M. Guskiewicz has served UNC-Chapel Hill through his research, teaching and leadership. As his five-year tenure as Carolina's 12th chancellor nears its end, we thank him for his work as a neuroscientist, academic leader and administrator.

The chancellor enlisted the help of Rameses and RJ to spread holiday cheer to Tar Heels.
Over 1,400 Tar Heels received degrees on Sunday at the Dean E. Smith as the University celebrated Winter Commencement. Check out some of the scenes from what was a joyous day for many students and their family and friends.

The Jingle Bell Jog, an annual tradition for Carolina faculty and staff, returned on Dec. 8. Participants dressed up to get in the holiday spirit, bonded with colleagues and exercised on a beautiful sunny day. Those who attended also had the opportunity to make canned-food donations to the Carolina Cupboard and support the Orange County Animal Shelter.

Whether it be a crown flower lei, a miniature stuffed pumpkin or a journal with family photos, prized possessions helped Carolina Global Launch students adjust to life in college and on a new continent.
Carolina is getting into the holiday spirit, and the Old Well's new seasonal look shows as much. Workers from Facilities Services recently added holiday lights to the iconic campus symbol, which now shines a little brighter as the end of the year approaches.
