Message from Chancellor Carol L. Folt on the Confederate Monument
The University is continuing to receive input from the faculty, staff and student groups who ran listening sessions, administered surveys and hosted forums and discussions across campus.
UNC-Chapel Hill receives $3.4 million commitment to advance its signature Philosophy, Politics and Economics Program
About $1.8 million of the gift will fund two new tenure-track faculty positions for six years. The remaining $1.6 million is for continued support for existing programs in PPE.
Dr. William L. Roper to serve as interim president of the UNC System
After serving the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for two decades, Roper will oversee 16 university campuses across the state and the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
