Comprised of students, faculty, staff and community members, the new committee will reflect on the past six months and the Fall 2020 Roadmap, provide input related to specific considerations as identified by the leadership team and seek input from broader constituencies on campus and in our neighboring communities.
The University is making an important change to how it reports information on the COVID-19 Dashboard to more accurately align campus testing data with state and local health department recommendations. Carolina will also start voluntary testing for all students still in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area.
"While we’re committed to doing all we can to ensure a safe and successful fall semester, we’re also looking ahead to planning for the spring semester. We are in the process of pivoting our Roadmap Implementation Team’s efforts to the spring 2021 semester."
In his new role, Mike Piehler will provide leadership and coordination of broad sustainability efforts on campus, develop a consistent plan to reach short- and long-term goals and serve as chair of the University’s Sustainability Council.
