    Charles Cobb, an activist who spent his teenage and young adult years organizing change as a field secretary with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee in the 1960s, was the keynote speaker of Carolina's annual African American History Month lecture.

    Alert Carolina sirens test to be held Feb. 17

    The regular test will be conducted between noon and 12:30 p.m. The sirens will sound an alert tone along with a brief pre-recorded voice message. When testing is complete, a different siren tone and voice message will signal all clear.
