With boxes and suitcases in tow, thousands of undergraduate students began moving into residence halls Thursday and Friday. The move-in marked the start of a busy week that will help new Tar Heels get to know the campus, build community, make new friends and prepare for classes.
Due to forecasted inclement weather, FallFest has been canceled.
The Good Neighbor Initiative — a partnership between the University, the towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro, and several community organizations — is working to strengthen the connections between Carolina students and long-time residents to help Tar Heels thrive in off-campus housing.
